The number of training sessions per week is determined based on the number of months consecutive you have been training. The scientific rules from the International Weightlifting Federation (member of the International Olympic Committee), states that no more than 6 exercises per training session for sports training and 8 exercises for bodybuilding and weight loss. IWF research indicates that an exercise Routine using more than eight exercises could cause severe over training.

 

Your set rep scheme determines whether you emphasis muscle mass (bigger muscles), muscle strength (more power), weight loss or sports training. You will build muscle tone whether your emphasis is physical muscle mass or overall muscle strength.
